Privacy policy
This site has no accounts, no logins and no comments. The only personal data it can hold is an email address you chose to give it.
Plain language, not legal advice. This policy describes what the site actually does today, not what it might do later — a feature below is only described once it is switched on.
The short version
- If you do not subscribe to the newsletter, the site holds nothing that identifies you.
- If you do, it holds your email address, at the newsletter provider, until you unsubscribe.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared beyond the providers named below.
- Advertising is the one part that sets things on your device without you typing anything.
The newsletter
The subscribe form collects one thing: an email address. No sending provider is connected yet, so the field is disabled and nothing is collected until one is. Once it is, that provider will process the address on our behalf solely to send the emails described beside the subscribe form: a note when Formula One pay actually changes, and nothing else.
The address is not used for anything else, is not sold, and is not passed to advertisers. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes the address from the list. If you would rather it were deleted outright, ask at the address below and it will be.
The form also contains a hidden field that real people never fill in. If it arrives completed, the submission is discarded as automated. It collects nothing about you.
Advertising
This site does not currently carry display advertising. If that changes, this section will name the network, say which cookies or identifiers it sets, what they are used for, how long they last, and where the consent prompt appears.
What can be said now: advertisers have no involvement in what is published here, no sight of it beforehand, and no influence over any figure or confidence label. No ad slot is placed above the first figure on a page.
Analytics
This site runs no analytics tool. No cookies or identifiers are set for this purpose; if that changes, this section will name the tool and what it records.
The homepage’s live standings and currency switch
The per-point calculator on the homepage asks the public Jolpica F1 API (api.jolpi.ca) for the latest championship standings when the page loads. The request goes from your browser, so Jolpica sees your IP address and browser details, as any site you load does. Nothing identifying you is added by this site.
The currency you pick for the salary table is remembered in your browser’s own local storage, so it is still selected next time; that record never leaves your device.
What the site does not do
- No accounts, no passwords, no profiles.
- No comments, so nothing you write is stored.
- No contact form. Email reaches a person directly and is not logged anywhere else.
- No selling, renting or sharing of any personal data.
Links to other sites
Nearly every figure here links to the publication it came from. Those are other people's sites, with their own privacy policies and their own tracking. Following a source link takes you outside this policy's scope.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of whatever is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, at privacy@formulaonesalaries.com. Requests are answered within one month. Given the site holds at most an email address, in practice this is usually a single deletion.
Changes
When this policy changes materially — a new provider, a new category of data — the change is noted here with its date rather than made silently.
Independence
Formula One Salaries is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Formula One Licensing BV, Formula One Management, the FIA, or any team. “Formula One” and “F1” are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here descriptively.
